I weighted 92-93kg when I checked my cholesterol last month. 93kg is the highest so far. 3 weeks ago I started daily exercise. Actually since 19 Oct 2011 until today I was either running, cycling or golfing without fail. Now I weighted around 88-90kg. I aim to go down to 86-88kg in 2 weeks time.

I controlled my diet too. I took a lot of fruits and ate light at night.

For my cholesterol, I avoid nasi lemak and roti canai in the morning. I just ate oat like the one below but not the normal powder-tasteless one. I’ll check on my cholesterol level again end of this month.

Final note, to lose weight, exercise hard, there is no short cut.

2 days ago I bought Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 at City Plaza Ground Floor Alor Setar. I was given 40% discount so I paid RM257. I have no idea whether I got a good deal or not since in Alor Setar I cannot find any other shop that sell Brooks. I think that much discount was given due to new model, GTS 12 was already released in the US.

I was aiming for Asics previously. My friend told me Brooks gives cheaper alternative.

My first impression, it feels good and I can run further than my bundle shoes!

Quality time with family since everyone is back for holiday. Below is the picture of me showing my new shoes.

Since I started running, I was looking for good running shoes. I was told that Asics Kayano 17 is the best for me. SRP is RM599 and the most discount I was offered was 20%. For Kayano 16, last year model, I was offered 50% discount. Because of the price, it has to wait.

My first running shoes I used since I started running early this year is this Hi-Tec shoes which I bought at bundle shop for RM70. I used it to ride bicycle and my trip to Sabah last year and used it to run KL Half Marathon in June this year.

This adidas I bought in July at Khlong Ngae bundle market for RM38. Khlong Ngae is about 20km from Malaysian border. This shoes I currently use for running and will be used in Penang Bridge International Half Marathon. I’ll save to buy Asics if I were to run full marathon.

Last Saturday, ASSAK Alumni for Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Mohamad Jiwa, held a golf tournament for its member at SSG Lembah Beringin Golf Club. Cikgu Mat Rejab was the guest of honour.

Me and 2 of my juniors in school car pooled from Kedah to join the event.

Golf is one of the thing that can gather old boys from Mat Jiwa. I wonder any other sport can do the same.

I have no memories at all of my school where I attended in 1974-1975. I was there from Standard 1 to Standard 2. What I remember is the school was the best school in Alor Setar or Kedah.

I was a clever boy back then. In the best school, I remember I got no.1 in my first exam. After that, the number had slowly increasing. Mid of Standard 2, I moved to rural area school, Sek Keb Bukit Jambul and I hit No.1 again, and then the same thing happened, the numbers started increasing afterward.

What I wish to share here is, apart from no.1 thing, I remember nothing. No memories at all. But I do not worry about my faded memories but I worry on how far I am now from the day I was a boy. If we think about how far we are from the day we were born, we will be closer to the day we will die. Think about it.

2 weeks ago I revisited the school. The company I work with, organised 7-A-Side football tournament. I think it was the first time I stepped inside the school area after all this years!
