……………………………………………………………………………………
Sangu Timbel
Steamed rice wrapped in banana leaf, fried chicken or carp, fried bean curd and tempeh…and of course, freshly ground ultra-hot sambal to complete this all-time-favourite Sundanese meal!
……………………………………………………………………………………
Soto Bandung
Different with most soto variants in the country, Soto Bandung has clear broth and slices of daikon radish.
……………………………………………………………………………………
Laksa Bogor
The Sundanese’s take on this popular spicy noodle soup contains oncom (soy bean fermented with Neurospora) which gives a unique taste to it.
……………………………………………………………………………………
Pais Lauk Emas
The secret to the richness of this particular pepes dish lies in its cooking method. Wrapping the carp fish in banana leaf before it is grilled over charcoal allows the spices to really penetrate the meat.
……………………………………………………………………………………
Lotek
This Sundanese-style is a healthy portion of fried tempeh and tofu, young jackfruit, fried shallots and peanut sauce.
……………………………………………………………………………………
Bandrek
What is Bandrek made of? Palm sugar, spices and everything nice in a warm glass of drink to chase the chill away!
