Since I was told about not many halal food in Ho Chi Min, I brought a few maggi in cup, bread, canned tuna and chocolate to HCM. But still after a few unappetizing meal, we had to eat real food at restaurants.
There are no cheap food stalls in HCM. Nasi Goreng and drink will cost VND100,000 (RM15). For Non-halal, HCM is like food heaven. At night you can see a lot of food stalls opening beside BenThanh market serving variety of food especially sea food.
I miss Indonesia when come to food. Variety of food and cheap.

- Pro döner kebab 169 De Tham, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, Distr.1, ? 22005959. a Turkish place with good service serving real doner kebabs, halal style.

- Kedai Shamsudin 445 Le Hong Phong Street, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Some more halal food restaurant are Taj Mahal Indian Subcontinent cuisine. Serve delicious meal 100% halal. Own and run by Muslim where the Cook are also Muslim. Serving in Ho chi Minh for last 15 years. I was at one branch on 241/1 Pham ngu lao street District 1. Just a small place but very delicious meal. But told by owner that they have just open an other branch very close to Central mosque on Dong Du street District 1. The Address is 52/2 Dong Du street District 1. Went to this place to try, the food was really great and the plus point was found Some Malaysian Restaurant, Turkish cuisine close to this place as well.
So any body visiting the Ho chi minh city no need to worry about the Halal Food. A lot of choices are available now.
