It is located about 90km from Kota Kinabalu and about 6 kilometres away from Kinabalu National Park and is renowned for its vegetable market which is open seven days a week. The beauty of Kundasang due to its panoramic view of the Mount Kinabalu . It is about 1300M from sea level.
We landed at Kota Kinabalu Airport just after 1pm on 12 Nov 2009. Then, we met the person I arranged to rent a car (Waja @ RM130 per day) that I found in mudah.com.my. Normal rate if you were to rent from Car Rental Company is more than RM200 per day.
The rain was pouring heavily and it took us nearly 3 hours to reach Kundasang. The road is ok. Like Simpang Pulai to Cameron Highland. Can organise cycling event here – KK – Kundasang – Ranau – Tambunan – KK!
Only the next morning we were able to see the Mount Kinabalu. The view for the first time was breathtaking. The below is the view from our room.

Kinabalu Pine Resort is the biggest resort at Kundasang. We took 2 balcony-joining rooms at RM160 each. The price is inclusive of quite a good dinner and breakfast. Money worth spent.

Salam Adi…
Selamat bercuti…
